How can I find out where and when the classes are and how much they cost?

Go to our shop and take a look what’s available and the price for the current block.

What’s the difference between each class?

Mini is our baby class for 0-15 months.

Maxi is for 15 months – 4 years.

Mixi is our all aged, mixed class and geared towards them all equally with the content of the Maxi class for the older ones and adaptations to suit the Mini aged ones. This also makes it perfect for sibling pairs (though not exclusively and siblings are also welcome in Maxi).

What happens if I can’t make a class?

Bookings are booked in half term instalments following the school term times and are non-refundable in the case of non-attendance, but in the case of known absence, spaces can be gifted to a friend with advance notification to me.

Is my baby too young?

Nope, they’re never too young to join. Along with the range of varied instruments, there’s lots of sensory, tickling, raspberries, clapping, cuddles, movement and some Makaton signing, as well as more calming bubbles and fairy lights to suit all babies ages and attention/stimulation spans. Come and sing and play together, make memories and make friends, big and small.

Can I bring my other half/Granny/Grandpa etc?

Yes, we love them also getting to see the little ones in action and make memories together, but now and then rather than weekly really, as we also have to fit in the parents and little ones booked in and if everyone brought someone extra every week, it’d be overwhelming for all parties involved. They may also need to shuffle backwards when we get out fabrics etc to make sure everyone that’s booked in fits comfortably.

Can I buy the awesome music I hear every week?

Why yes you can! Need to entertain them in the car? The house? The garden? Poolside? The doctor’s waiting room? While you pee? Our music is for sale on Bandcamp and you can makeshift props or instruments in most places. Saucepans, empty drinks containers, the pepper pot, your scarf, your beach towel…get creative!

Can I do drop in classes?

Drop in classes are only available if a class isn’t already full and block bookings take priority, which means they may often not be an option and availability may vary from week to week. Get in touch to find out before attending to avoid disappointment. However, I know some people work according to rotas, so block booking isn’t always an option. If available, drop ins are £7 (£1 more than the block booking prices).

Do you do free tasters?

No I’m afraid not, as they have historically been taken advantage of regularly and block the opportunity for others to book their space for the term.

Do you run during the school holidays?

No we’re only term time. I’m also a Mum and entertain my own kids during the school holidays. The days are long, but the years are short, so they say, and I want to enjoy them and make childhood memories with them while I have the chance. Plus I have no other childcare, so that’s that.

What happens if a class is cancelled?

In the rare circumstance that classes are cancelled by Hickory Dickory Rock due to illness or the like, missed classes will be rolled over or refunded. Make sure you’ve completed your registration form with contact details to make sure you get the message.

Why is there a booking fee?

In order to keep class prices as low as possible, but methods of payment as easy and as varied as possible for you all, there is a 75p booking fee to cover card processing transactions. There haven’t been any inflationary rises despite recent times for example, so rather than put up class prices, in walks a tiny booking fee only payable once a term and costs a lot less than a cafe cuppa.

These classes are so well structured, incorporating lots of early learning and developmental activities. Ellie is brilliant, so enthusiastic, engaging and always has a smile on her face. There’s nothing my littlest loves more than a good boogie, music & rhythm so this class is perfect for my little groover…the highlight of our week!
