Musical fun for 0-15 months with lots to offer all in one class! Alongside a range of varied instruments and awesome music, there’s lots of sensory, tickling, raspberries, clapping, cuddles, movement and Makaton signing, as well as more calming bubbles and fairy lights, and the chance to bond with your baby as well as make friends. We enjoy props big and small in just the right balance – the list is fairly extensive, but think swathes of fabrics to wobble, parachutes, lights, scene setting, sensory balls, things that scrunch, squish, flash, all the textures, the list goes on… The class lasts for approx. 40 minutes and is designed to suit their limits of stimulation.

Description
Mini Mice is our baby music, sensory, signing and movement class in Cornwall. There is plenty of variety from week to week to give your little a wide range of musical play. This is balanced with the loose structure and familiarity that children benefit from. We always sing the same opening and closing songs with varying silly songs and nursery rhymes in the middle.
In Mini Mice, we focus on songs, sensory and movement suited to this younger audience. We include play and actions carefully considered to develop motor skills, coordination and imagination. We creatively bring these skills into play through a huge array of instruments, toys, props and fabrics. Additionally, this varied supply provides a brilliant range of sensory fun and exploration, which is developmentally beneficial to little ones. We’ve got all the sights, textures and sounds from sparkles, bubbles, lights, touchy things, scrunchy things and munchy friendly things. We have a breakout instrumental section, since we know it’s important to cater to little ones’ stimulation limits. Babies get a chance to chill and play freely and grown ups get to chat because new friends are great.
We have activities and key-word signing to aid communication skills (plus singing is also known to aid language development). So be prepared to join in with the signs and actions, as well as dance around together!
Our classes allow precious bonding time with your little one(s). We have activities aimed for you to partake with your little one, make memories and have fun together. And of course, (and very importantly): socialising for both you and your little one. We love how friendly and inclusive our classes are and to watch friendships grow amongst the grown ups as well as the little ones.
The grown ups enjoy the Mini Mice music too – we don’t think children need to have bad taste in music. We’ve made music the whole family can enjoy across a range of genres to introduce little ones to its variety. Who knows, your little one might surprise you with a love of rock, or funk, or country music!

There are parking spaces at the Passmore Edwards Institute. There is also free parking across the road and in the bays all along Hayle Terrace.
Please note that the room we are in at the Passmore Edwards Institute is upstairs and there isn’t a lift.
